Lyxter
Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 July 2026
These terms govern the use of Lyxter, the AI diagnostic assistant at app.lyxter.ai, provided
by Lyxter ApS (CVR 46627571), Bjergegade 58, 6870 Ølgod, Denmark ("we", "us"). By creating a
company account or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of your company.
1. The service
Lyxter provides AI-generated diagnostic and repair guidance for heavy vehicles and workshop
equipment, based on fault codes, symptoms, screenshots, and questions you submit. The service
works alongside your existing diagnostic tools; it does not replace them.
2. Professional judgment and safety
Lyxter is an assistant, not a mechanic. All answers are AI-generated guidance
and may be incomplete or wrong. Repairs must always be performed and verified by qualified
personnel using professional judgment, the vehicle manufacturer's documentation, and applicable
safety procedures. Responsibility for any repair, and for the safety and roadworthiness of any
vehicle, remains entirely with your company.
Never rely on Lyxter alone for safety-critical decisions (brakes, steering, load handling, or
any situation where failure could cause injury).
3. Accounts and seats
- A company account is created by its owner, who can invite team members up to the number of
seats on the account. A company that has bought no seats of its own - a free or invoiced
account - can invite up to the limit that applies to it instead. Either way the limit is shown
under Settings, Team before it refuses an invitation.
- You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity under
your company's accounts.
- Accounts are for your company's internal use; do not resell or share access outside your
company.
4. Payment
- Unless your company is invoiced directly (below), Lyxter is a paid subscription, billed
per seat per month through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout; VAT is applied according to
EU rules.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can change seats or cancel any time
in the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Enterprise and other invoiced accounts are arranged separately: Lyxter invoices your
company directly, and the number of seats and the monthly message allowance are the ones
agreed with you and set by Lyxter. Such an account has no billing portal, so seats, allowance
and the end of the agreement are handled by writing to
hello@lyxter.ai.
- Fair use: your company has a monthly message allowance, shown on the billing page as
Messages included; on a subscription bought in the app it is a per-seat quota.
5. Your content and the shared knowledge base
- Your chats stay private to your company. Lyxter staff can view them when needed for
support, quality assurance, and safety review; staff access is read-only and every access is
logged (see the Privacy Policy).
- To improve the service for all customers, Lyxter learns structured knowledge only
from chats: fault codes, AI-written fix summaries and technical lessons, and anonymous counts
of whether a fix worked - never your own text, your images, or anything identifying your
company. Each fix summary and technical lesson learned from a chat is automatically scrubbed
by our software for identifying details (emails, phone numbers, number plates, and
identification numbers) before it is stored. What Lyxter learns from your chat is used in your
own company's diagnoses at once, but reaches other companies only after Lyxter staff review
and approve it, or when it restates knowledge Lyxter had already approved. The AI model itself
is never trained on your data. See the
Privacy Policy.
- To test the AI before changes go live, we may derive an internal test scenario from a real
case after removing all identifying details (names, companies, contact details, number plates);
the cleaned version is reviewed by staff first, and images are never included.
- Company owners and the admins they appoint may upload manuals. Team members may also save manual-like content shared
in a chat (pasted manual text, photographed manual pages, or an attached PDF file) to the
company's Manuals, but only
by confirming the save prompt the app shows - nothing is saved from chat without that explicit
confirmation, and a saved item follows the same review and privacy rules as an uploaded manual.
Uploaded manuals stay private to your company by
default: after review by Lyxter, the AI uses them only in your company's own chats.
After approving a manual, Lyxter staff may add a small number of short, AI-written technical
lessons distilled from it to the shared knowledge base; each lesson is reviewed first, is written
in the AI's own words rather than copied from the manual, and contains nothing identifying your
company. A manual itself is shared with other companies only if Lyxter explicitly decides to
after review, for material that may lawfully be shared. We may reject or remove any upload, and
you may delete your company's uploads at any time.
- If you enter personal data about someone else - for example a customer's name and contact
details, whether under Customers or when documenting a service for one of them - your company
remains responsible for that data and for having the right to enter it. Lyxter only stores and
processes it on your instructions (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to breach security, access other companies' data,
overload the systems, extract the underlying models or prompts, or use the service for anything
unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or
change features over time. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and you
can export your data.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of the
service is limited to the amount your company paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, vehicle downtime, or the outcome of repairs
(see section 2). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Danish law.
9. Termination and data deletion
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. On request from the company owner, we
delete the company account and all associated data (chats, members, vehicles, service history,
uploaded manuals, and the Stripe customer), except billing records we must keep under
bookkeeping law, knowledge-base entries that no longer identify anyone, and a minimal
record that the deletion took place, kept so it can be accounted for afterwards
(Privacy Policy, sections 4 and 7).
The company owner files that request either from inside the app, under Settings, Company, or on the public
account deletion page - the same request, and the second works
without the app installed. We confirm within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 30
days; the request can be withdrawn until we complete it, and cannot be undone afterwards. You can
also write to hello@lyxter.ai.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the Danish courts, with the
City Court of Copenhagen as first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes will be announced to
company owners by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
