Delete your account
This page explains what deleting a Lyxter account removes, what we have to keep by law, and how it works. Everything happens from here: no email, no phone call, and nobody at Lyxter has to act. It works whether or not you still have the app installed.
What gets deleted
- The company account and every user account in it, so nobody can sign in again.
- Every chat and diagnosis, including the photos and PDFs attached to them.
- Your vehicles, their service history and service jobs, the priced work documents raised against them, and the manuals your company uploaded.
- The records your company entered about its own customers - under Customers, or on a service job for a customer's vehicle - and the service reports built from them.
- The Stripe customer record, so no further payment is taken.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in, your name and your email address, so you can no longer log in and Lyxter holds nothing that identifies you.
- The invitation that brought you into the company.
What stays with your company
- The chats, service records and documents you wrote while working for the company stay in the company's account, because they are the company's own service history - with your name taken off them, so nothing there says who wrote them.
- If you want the company to remove something you wrote, ask the company: it is the controller for its own records.
What we have to keep
- Lyxter's own billing invoices to your company and the amounts on them, which Danish bookkeeping law requires us to keep for 5 years. We do not use them to contact you again.
- Fixes that were reviewed and added to the shared knowledge base stay there. Names, companies, contact details and locations are stripped out before anything is shared, so what remains identifies neither you nor your company.
- A minimal record that the deletion happened - which kind, the date, the company name, our internal reference ids and, for a company account, counts of how much was removed. We keep it for security and accountability. It holds none of the deleted content and no name or email address.
How long it takes
The deletion is scheduled the moment you confirm it and carried out automatically 7 days later. Until then you can withdraw it from this page. Once carried out it is permanent, and we email you to confirm it is done. Whatever happens, it is completed within 30 days.
Delete your account
Log in to delete your account. It is a typed confirmation and nothing else: nobody at Lyxter has to act.
